My feelings were! 

I controlled the amount I ate to numb myself and fill a sense of emptiness during some of my life’s most devastating moments.  

The reality of my life was too overwhelming to handle, and I didn’t know how to cope with betrayal, rejection, and abandonment. 

👉I restricted my food to 500 calories or less per day after my parents separated and I didn’t hear from or see my dad for weeks. 

👉During college, I turned to diet pills to lose weight FAST to fit into a sexy halloween costume and catch the eye of a boy I liked. I lost 10 pounds, but never got the boy.

👉I binged on Ben and Jerry’s ice cream after I found out the person I thought I was going to marry was having an affair. 

So, if you are someone that has dealt with pain by using food- I get it. You aren’t alone.

For the last 10 years as a Registered Dietitian, I’ve used my personal challenges to help women separate their emotions from food so that they can finally feel in control around food.
