About Me
I’m Jana, MPH, RDN—and I’m not your typical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
My passion for this work runs deep.
When I say I get it—I truly do.
I was the “chubby” girl growing up, going to my first diet meeting (Weight Watchers) with my mom at 11 years old. From there, it became years of chasing the next “best” diet—Atkins, Jenny Craig, Zone Diet, Eat Right for Your Blood Type… you name it, I tried it.
And like so many women, I would lose the weight… only to gain it back.
What no one talked about was how miserable I felt in the process—constant restriction, stomach pain, and the exhausting cycle of trying to be “good” all day, only to end up feeling like I had “failed” by night, mainly because I “didn’t have enough willpower” and ended up binging on Ben & Jerry’s and pizza. #truestory
After years of digestive issues, I finally saw a GI specialist and learned I was severely lactose intolerant. I’ll never forget what he told me: “When you eat better, you’ll feel better.”
And he was right. As I began to truly nourish and fuel my body and understand nutrition (not diets), everything started to change.
But the moment that truly shaped my path was losing my dad at just 59 years old to complications from preventable conditions—uncontrolled diabetes, obesity, and heart failure. That loss, along with the healing journey that followed, changed my life forever.
Today, I bring together both personal experience and professional expertise—as a Certified Diabetes Educator, National Board-Certified Health and Well-Being Coach, a Master’s in Public Health and a degree in Clinical Nutrition—to combine science with compassion and help women break free from dieting and truly heal.
I’m not here to give you another diet.
I’m here to give you real tools, honest guidance, and lasting results.
